Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Effective September 16, 2026
These terms cover website design, hosting, and related services provided by Simple Local Web ("we," "us," "our") to a client ("you"). By hiring us or using simplelocalweb.com, you agree to them.
Our services
We design, build, host, and maintain websites for small businesses, along with related services like professional email, online scheduling, digital invoicing, and online stores. The specific scope, timeline, and price for your project are set out in the proposal or agreement we send you before work starts.
Payment
Pricing is agreed on before we start, in plain terms with no hidden line items. Ongoing services like hosting and maintenance are billed on the schedule we agree to. If an invoice goes unpaid, we may pause work or take a site offline until it's settled — we'll always reach out before that happens.
What you're responsible for
You're responsible for:
- The accuracy of the content, photos, and business information you give us
- Having the rights to any content, images, or logos you ask us to use
- Reviewing and approving the site before it goes live
- Keeping your own account logins and passwords secure once the site is handed over
Ownership
Once your invoice is paid in full, the website, its content, and its domain are yours, including if you choose to leave us later. We keep the right to show finished work in our own portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Uptime and support
We do our best to keep hosted sites online and secure, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service — outages can come from hosting providers, domain registrars, or other services outside our control. Support requests are answered same day, most days, but aren't guaranteed to be resolved instantly.
Limitation of liability
We're not liable for indirect losses, such as lost business or lost data, arising from the use of your website or our services, beyond the amount you've paid us in the twelve months before the issue arose.
Ending the relationship
Either of us can end an ongoing services agreement with written notice, as described in your proposal or agreement. If you leave, we'll hand over your domain, accounts, and logins — the site is yours.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we'll post the new version here and change the effective date above.
